Ti:Sapphire Crystal

Ti:sapphire laser has played an important role in scientific and industrial applications since its advent in 1982. Ti:sapphire has broadband absorption centered in the blue- green wavelength region (400–600 nm) and associated broadband emission (650–1150 nm) at red-near IR wavelengths,which make it one of the best materials for ultrashort pulses generation and wavelength tuning.

Ti:Sapphire Laser

The absorption band of Ti:Sapphire centered at 490 nm, making it suitable for variety of laser pump sources including argon ion laser, frequency doubled Nd:YAG, and LD laser. Ti:Sapphire crystal has a fluorescence lifetime of 3.2 microseconds, allowing them to be effectively pumped by short pulse flashlamps in high-powerlaser systems.
